My Week In Pictures

I know that this post really has nothing to do with running, although I did manage to run 5-7 miles every other day before heading to the fair and I probably walked thousands, okay maybe just twenty miles :) this week.  Here are just a few of the highlights.

Big M at our Time Bandit Booth.

Big M & I waiting to sell some shirts, sweatshirts, & hats.

Mike Fourtner.  He was on stage talking about his experiences on the Time Bandit & crab fishing.  Some of our favorite questions asked~

1. Guy, "Do you get paid for crab fishing?"
2. Lady walks up to Mike, looks at his picture on the banner, looks at Mike, and then asks, "Is this guy here?"
3. Guy tells Mike to be safe. Mike says, "safe is my middle name."  Guy says, "really, how did your Mom know do to that?"
Bonus Quote ~ Wow, you look so much smaller than you do on TV.  Mike is 6'6".
Big M has a slight crush on Mike.  She gets very concerned watching him on Deadliest Catch.  After this week, he is her hero.  I really think both girls might want to live with Mike & his wife, Laci, now.

Big M with Little Miss Friendly.

This company was called WOW ~ Walk on Water.  The owner bought a Time Bandit shirt and gave the girls permission to come any time to take a spin.  At $8 a pop each I was very happy I didn't have to pay.  Very nice guys.

Big M & Little M on the rides.  I think Little M is going to share my love of the wild rides.

Check out their faces~priceless.  They did the free fall ride.

I'm short!!!  I'm short!!!  Okay, not really but it's rare that I feel that way.

The girls the fourth night of the fair.  The dropped where they sat.  Game Over.  This is what happens when they get in bed around midnight each night and then up very early the next day.

Brothers From Different Mothers had a comedy/juggling act on the same stage Mike was on every day.  We watched them 16 times.  Yes, I had their act memorized but the amazing thing is I was still laughing each time.  Check out their website HERE.  Both girls were volunteers on different days.

Mike & Little M

Mike & The Girls.  They were beginning to fade.  Another late night.

This is Jerry.  He owns a lemonade stand that has been at the fair for the past 5 years.  He is retiring so we won't see him again.  Is it corny that this makes me extremely sad?  He's watched my girls grow up.  The past couple years he has refused to let me pay for the lemonade so we might just die of dehydration next year :)

Big M & Kira ~ Mike & Laci's boxer.  Yes, she was wearing a Time Bandit shirt, too :)

Mike's final show.

His family was there to support him.  His Mom, Dad, & Sister's are amazing.  It's great to see such a tight, happy, and supportive family.  I love this pic.

Mike & Big M waiting to pack things up last night.

This week was crazy busy and very fun.  I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to hang out with Mike, Laci, and their family.  My girls love them to pieces.

BTW~Adam aka The Boring Runner, I let Mike know that one of my running blog buddies was a fan.  He told me to tell you "hi."

interesting bubbles in that pool ... I feel like I'm in one of those near the end of my endurance runs!

Great pictures.

I was sad I never made it to the fair this year, sucks they want you to pay to get in. Glad you had an exhausting good time!

Hopefully Mike is a good guy. The only part about Deadliest Catch that I can't stand at all is Captain John on the Time Bandit. I wish he'd retire, I don't see him bring anything to the show / boat.

That bubbly walking on water thing looks like so much fun - as did your entire week!
