While the girls and I were in Vader the situation here became dangerous. Jason had time before work to get the snow off of the carport over the dog kennel but not the carport with all of our stuff in it. Jason picked us up on Christmas Eve at my Dads and then we went to his Dads house. We headed home that night and discussed the fact that we would need to get the snow off of the other carport when we got home. We pulled into the driveway and could see that the carport was still standing. We pulled into the garage and started to help the girls out of the Explorer. Right when Makenna was getting out there was a huge crash outside. Jason thought it was a branch but I was pretty sure it was the carport. Jason grabbed a flashlight and walked out into the driveway enough so he could see if it was still there. Our worst fears were confirmed. Our carport had collapsed. It wasn't until Christmas morning that I went out and took pics of the scene. Everything had buckled. The playhouse is smashed and I'm pretty sure it will not go back together again. After a quick glance inside I am pretty sure a lot of our stuff is destroyed. I'm pretty sad about that. Next stage will be a search and recovery mission. At least we can be thankful that it wasn't the carport with the weiner dogs in it.
