Time was flying by and we needed to get our Christmas tree. We had one small problem-no truck. We decided it would be fine to just strap one to the top of the Explorer so off we went.
We usually go to get our tree and spend lots of time walking around to find the perfect tree. This year was a little different. It was freezing out and the wind wasn't helping. I didn't want the girls to be out in that very long so we actually almost picked the very first tree we came to. The girls really liked it. The girls and I waited by the tree until Jason and the owner of the tree farm came back with his chainsaw.
The couple who owned the tree farm was very friendly. The woman actually works at the Chehalis School so I've met her before. Her husband cut down the tree and helped Jason pack it back to the Explorer. They got it up on the roof and strapped down. We had to make a few stops on the way home. Between the size of the tree and the wind also blowing so hard we were lucky to get it home. Jason quickly tossed it into the stand in the living room and now it's just waiting to be decorated. The girls are very excited.
