Wild Wednesday

Due to the fact that I love photography almost as much as running I've been having some issues lately with getting my pics on my computers.  They are slightly overloaded.  I need to get some more memory and also work on getting my pics saved to discs so I can free up some space on my computers.  Because of this it has made writing up my posts frustrating.  I want all the pics.  My race recap is in process.  I promise.

This morning, after my girls got on the bus, I went out to check on the kittens.  I lock them up at night after the demise of our other cats last year.  Better safe than sorry.  Good thing I did.  It looked like a bomb went off.  I had a huge tote of cat food that had been knocked down and it was EVERYWHERE.  The crate was moved across the porch and their water dish was filthy.  After a better look I quickly figured out it was a raccoon raid.  There was cat food in the water and raccoon prints could be seen in the cat food dust.

It gets better.

Our dog was out on a potty break and snuck back in the house when I went to get the broom.  I chased her down and tried to get her back to the door to go back out.  That is when she made the mistake of running into my bedroom and under my bed.  If you want a good laugh, picture in your mind a wild haired crazy person using a broom to try and pry a freaked out and wet weiner dog out from under her bed.  Then picture said dog diving into my closet (did I mention she was wet???)  I'm beyond frustrated at this point.  I grab a towel so I can get ahold of her and start packing her back to her spot in the house.  She proceeds to leave a crap trail the whole way.  I thought I had missed the poop action until I put her on her blanket and realized the poo aroma was stronger than it should be.  Halfway there I managed to step in it.  The only lucky part was I was on the tile part of our floor when it happened.  Seriously, what just happened?  Normal morning turns into raccoon/cat food porch bomb and dog poo party throughout 4 rooms of my house.  AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Looking a bit guilty.

I was a bit jacked up.  Maybe I still am a little.  I'm going to take that energy and head to the gym.  This is the last week for the challenge.  I don't think I've lost a pound yet but I'm sure I've gained some muscle.  The best benefit has been that my knees are doing well with the routine.  If nothing else, it has kept me motivated and feeling great each time I go.  I plan on doing my stretching/core/weights there and  then head back home for a run.

Hoping you are all having a far better morning than I did.

Giveaway and race review coming up!!!

My mom has two wiener dogs! They are adorable, and TONS of trouble.

Your morning sounds frustrating and hilarious! :)

Just be nice to your legs on Friday. No need to have heavy legs two weekends in a row. And I will add this onto the list of reasons to NOT have dogs. I prefer cats.

Raccoons... I just had a show-down with one the other night at my mom's. Opened her garage door to get into the spare fridge and a raccoon was just dining on some cat food WITH the cat!

I'm sorry - but I was cracking up with your wet/poopy doggy story!
