Pacific Rim One Day Run

It's official!!! I am signed up to run in the Pacific Rim One Day Run. It is a 24 hour event that begins on March 20th at 9am and ends March 21st. I really wanted to this this last year but life was just too crazy. Life is still crazy, along with me apparently, but I am determined to give it a go. I've wanted to try an ultra distance for awhile now but since Jason isn't too wild about his wife running that far on some fairly wild/rough courses I've tried to be good and not worry him more than I have to. This is a 1 mile looping course. It will actually be located on part of the Heart & Sole course that we just ran on. I have heard that it is lighted well at night and that it's safe. As safe as running for 24 hours can be :) Even as I type this I can hardly contain my excitement. I really must be crazy. I am not a fast runner on my best day so I am looking forward to seeing how far my endurance can take me. I'm really wishing I had some more shoes and running gear. I know I'll be wanting to swap shoes, socks, etc., as I go. I'll just load my car with everything and just go for it. You can stop at any time regardless of time or distance. At 31 miles you are entitled to the event shirt. Anyone who knows me knows I'm in it for the shirt. I'll be keeping you posted. Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice???
