Running Update

I figured I'd better do a post about my running. It is after all why I started my blog :) Some of you might think that I've turned into a couch potato after the marathon-not true. Though I have to admit that this time of year I usually slack off way too much and pay for it when I do decide to get motivated again. I'm trying really hard to keep that from happening.

For a couple weeks I had to really take things easy because of my knee. Now that I know knee problems could be in my future I am a little more careful. I still go to Thorbecke's 2-3 times a week and do weights, cross-training, and running. I am averaging 15-20 miles a week.

One of my problems now is that I need to move my broken down treadmill into the house somewhere. I have learned that it is way too cold to run in the garage. You would think with how I sweat that I would be hot enough out there. Do to the fact that I haven't felt like wrestling it in the house yet I haven't been getting my runs in at home like normal. I'm sure that once I do I'll get more miles in.

My next official run is in March. It will be a 10K (6.2miles). I ran it last year so I'm determined to get a better time. I have learned that the sooner you finish, the better goodies there are at the end to eat.
