Today was the Ghostmuster Fun Run in Tenino. They offer a 1 mile, a 5K (3.1 miles), and a 10K (6.2 miles). We participated last year and everyone had fun. This year I did the 10K and Jason and Makenna did the 5K. Dean was there to watch Nicky so he watched Kinley for us while we ran. My friend Heidi also ran the 10K. She had been sick all week but she looked and sounded good before the race began. I was hoping to do well but I was also trying to be careful after all the pain I had with my knee after the marathon. It was cold but not as bad as last year. This is one of the courses that seems longer than it should be. I managed to finish in roughly 1 hour 3 minutes. I'll post all the official times once they put them on the website. I ended up with 3rd place in my division. Jason got 1st and Makenna 3rd. I also got 2nd place for wearing a costume. I won a Halloween cake mix and frosting kit.
Heidi didn't finish too far behind me. She was feeling it after being sick. I felt really bad. You could already hear it in her voice and chest that she wasn't doing well. It stinks when you don't feel well and the weather doesn't help. I know that can make things miserable. I hope she doesn't give up. I think she has potential to be an awesome runner and totally whoop me. We just need some warmer weather and sunshine :)
Afterwards my knee started to act weird and I had some pain when I walked. We ate afterwards with Dean & Nicky. When I got up from that it was pretty bad. Not in a real pain sense but in a way to scare me that I'm injured forever. I took an Advil and we drove to Olympia. Jason needed binoculars for work. Once I walked around up there it seemed to work itself out. I don't know if it was the Advil or my silent prayers but soon I couldn't tell that anything had been wrong with my knee at all.

Thanks for the confidence Stacie... not so sure about the whooping you part, but it sounds good! ;)
