I don't know who to feel sorry for, me who has to keep buying her shoes it seems every month or Makenna who is growing like a weed. Let's just start by saying that I have never been small. I have always been taller than almost everyone and unfortunately at a few points heavier than many. I was in the 3rd or 4th grade when I was finally able to wear my Mom's shoes-size 6 1/2. I thought that was so cool. Luckily there are many years you get to just be a kid and don't realize that having big feet, being taller than every boy, and loving school isn't "cool." Well, I still have big feet, I'm still taller than a few boys, and wouldn't you know it I still love school. Now I can apprecitae it all and hopefully show my girls that it is awesome to be who they are.
Both of my girls show an interest in running which I am very excited about. Someday I might have someone to run with :) It looks like they will both be tall and have a good foundation as well :) Makenna got up on Saturday with only a pair of boots that would fit. To make the shoe drama short we ended up buying her size 6 shoes-womens. She is in 2nd grade and won't be 8 until April. She doesn't care what size her feet are, she is just happy that she got her first pair of ASICS-(BTW-On Sale). Like I said, like mother like daughter :)
